Sound design for the immersive audio of the Harriet Tubman Monument in Newark, New Jersey — a permanent public artwork that tells Tubman’s story to passersby in the square that now bears her name. Designed by architect and artist Nina Cooke John, the 25-foot metal and concrete memorial replaced a statue of Christopher Columbus and features immersive community tiles and an audio narrative voiced by Newark native Queen Latifah.
